What Three Successful Creators Taught Me About Sustainable Publishing
Lessons from writers building for the long term
🏆 Tuesday Champions #001 · A weekly celebration of three inspiring creators
My Medium friends can read this article over there as well..
Welcome to the first Tuesday Champions, where I share and celebrate the work of my three favourite creators over the last week.
First up it’s the OG himself…
Justin Welsh
I originally started following Justin’s work over on LinkedIn a few years ago, and I instantly found his posts addictive.
I mean that literally - I just devoured all his stuff straight away then bought his LinkedIn course (which is excellent BTW).
I’ve love Justin’s output here on Substack since he joined too, so here are a couple of the standout pieces from him that caught my eye this week…
Karen Cherry
I’ve just discovered Karen’s work this week, and I’m so glad I did.
It feels great when you hit upon a new writer who really resonates with you (that’s what Substack’s for after all).
This Note and the following article particularly hit home - especially the latter piece, which really cuts the BS to give a realistic appraisal of what starting a successful newsletter on the platform actually entails…
Mark Thompson
I’ve bought quite a few products from Mark over the last year - including the excellent Article Funnel Blueprint and Email Infotainer courses.
I’ve also been a member of his Inner Circle group on Skool since March 2025. It’s currently the only membership I’m part of over there - which shows you how valuable it is.
Mark’s great at simplifying the whole online writing game down to its essential parts, so you don’t get overwhelmed. Check out this recent Note and article to see what I mean…
